Guest: Kevin Florek, CEO, Tellurian
“We are here – finally – because there is no refuge from ourselves.” That is what a gathering of clients and staff would recite daily some thirty-five years when Tellurian first opened its doors to serve the community. Over the years, Tellurian has evolved from a staff of 5 to more than 200 employees providing help with addiction, mental health and homelessness to 9,000 people a year through more than 20 programs and services. Tellurian remains steadfast in its original mission of making recovery a reality and giving clients a chance to return to the community as productive members of society.
On this program, Kevin Florek describes the magnitude of the drug and addiction problem, the pervasiveness of the heroin epidemic, and how Tellurian is able to achieve an 80 percent recovery rate among the breadth of clients they serve. Visit tellurian.org for more information.
